ZLA has developed the landscape design for the new civic facility in Belgrave, the A$ 10.5m project. ZLA has worked in close collaboration with H2o Architects to develop the site plan, the project has also included high level design review from the Office of the Victorian Government Architect. The landscape design includes a new civic plaza facing onto Burwood Hwy, terraced timber decking over looking the treed gully below, community garden, WSUD planting to car-park areas with car-parks also being used for events such as open air markets.

Tower Hotel, Alphington

ZLA has recently prepared the concept design for the residential redevelopment of the historic Tower Hotel Project,  Alphington. The landscape scope comprises new streetscape works, communal podium courtyard and rooftop deck. The redeveloped of the building has been designed by Architect’s H2o and proposes 20 new apartments, cafe area and basement parking.

Livvi’s Place Casey: All Abilities Play Space

ZLA has collaborated with the City Of Casey’s Landscape Team and Touched by Olivia Foundation to develop the design for a A$ 1.1m regionally significant all abilities/inclusive play-space within the Marriott Waters recreation reserve site. The design provides a wide range of sensory and imaginative play opportunities that encourage children of all abilities including those who have multiple physical, sensory and intellectual challenges to communicate and develop their physical skills to explore.

 

David Collins Reserve

ZLA in collaboration with The City of Casey, has designed a vibrant upgrade to David Collins Reserve. The site forms part of the overall Frog Hollow Reserve wetland precinct in outer southeastern Melbourne. David Collins Reserve upgrade builds upon a popular neighborhood playground and features a range of new opportunities for active recreational, social gathering and improved access with new path connections linking to the Eumemmerring Creek Trail. New facilities seek to attract a broader range of age groups, abilities, and people of different cultural backgrounds from the local community and include; exercise stations, informal running track, kick-about area, and ping pong table. The reserve embraces overlooking vistas of the adjacent wetland with viewing decks, insitu seating walls and BBQ/picnic shelter.
